Impact Screen Options

The DIY Golf Simulator Enclosure can be configured with several Carl’s Place impact screen materials:

• Standard: An economical heavy-duty polyester screen ideal for entry-level and budget-conscious simulator builds.
• Preferred: A tighter, smoother screen material designed to provide improved projected image quality.
• Premium: A three-layer impact-resistant screen offering Carl’s smoothest white projection surface along with enhanced durability and noise reduction.
• High-Contrast Gray Premium: Premium screen construction with a gray projection surface designed to produce deeper blacks and richer perceived contrast, particularly in rooms with more ambient light.

Please Note: The DIY enclosure frame is designed for 1-inch EMT pipe. Pipe is sold separately unless a Pipe Framing Kit is specifically included with your quoted configuration.

Sizing & Space Requirements

Carl’s Place DIY Golf Simulator Enclosures are available in several standard sizes. Because the actual outside dimensions of the completed enclosure are slightly larger than the simplified listing size, room dimensions should always be verified before ordering.

The standard DIY enclosure is designed around a 5-foot enclosure depth. Additional space is required behind the enclosure for the rear frame fittings and proper screen clearance. Carl’s Place recommends approximately 12 inches of rear buffer space, with a minimum of 8.25 inches required for the rear fittings.
