Carl’s Place Golf Impact Screens

Carl’s Place Golf Impact Screens

The impact screen is one of the most important components of any golf simulator. It needs to withstand thousands of full-speed shots while also providing a smooth projection surface for a clear, immersive simulator image.

Carl’s Place Golf Impact Screens are designed specifically for indoor golf and tested to withstand golf ball speeds up to 250 MPH. Available in a range of materials, sizes, aspect ratios, and finishing styles, they can be used with a Carl’s Place enclosure or incorporated into your own custom golf simulator build.

Choose Your Impact Screen Material

Carl’s Place offers four impact screen materials, allowing you to choose the right balance of image quality, durability, sound reduction, and budget for your simulator.

  • Standard: An affordable entry-level option made from 100% heavy-duty polyester. Its looser weave makes it a great choice for first-time simulator builds and budget-conscious installations.
  • Preferred: A tightly woven polyester screen with silicone reinforcement that provides a smoother projection surface and improved image quality compared to the Standard material.
  • Premium: Carl’s smoothest white projection surface, constructed from three layers of heavy-duty, impact-resistant polyester. A noise-dampening center layer helps reduce impact sound while providing excellent image quality and durability.

Screen Finishing Options

Select a finishing style based on how your impact screen will be mounted and how you plan to finish the surrounding simulator area.

  • Classic: Finished with 2.5-inch black vinyl edging and grommets around the screen for straightforward mounting with ball bungees or a compatible fastening system.
  • Classic with Flaps: Adds 7-inch fabric flaps with loop fastener strips around the screen. The flaps can help conceal enclosure framing and provide an area for attaching protective padding or other finishing materials.
  • Classic with Loop Fasteners: Adds a 1-inch strip of loop fastener around the Classic finished edge, making it easier to attach curtains, netting, safety cushions, or other simulator components.

Built for Real Golf Balls

Golf simulator screens take significant abuse. Carl’s Place Impact Screens are designed and tested for repeated impact from real golf balls traveling at speeds up to 250 MPH, making them suitable for regular practice, entertainment, training environments, and commercial simulator use.

Designed for Quality Projection

Your impact screen is also your projection surface. As screen material becomes smoother and more tightly woven, projected images become sharper and more refined.

Choose the Right Size for Your Space

Impact screens are available in a variety of sizes and aspect ratios to work with different room dimensions and projector configurations. When selecting your screen, consider both the available physical space and the aspect ratio of the projected image.

Be sure to review the sizing information in the product gallery and verify the actual screen dimensions before selecting your size.

Flexible Installation Options

Carl’s Place Golf Impact Screens can be mounted to a freestanding frame, hanging structure, custom simulator build, or compatible golf simulator enclosure. The available finishing options make it possible to tailor the screen to the installation rather than forcing the room to fit a single mounting method.
